ABOUT DR. KORY WARD-COOK

Dr. Kory Ward-Cook has over 40 years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist, university professor, national speaker, researcher, executive in association management, health coach, and a Qigong practice leader. She is certified as a Medical Technologist, MT(ASCP), a former certified Association Management Executive, and more recently received her Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC) certificate. She is currently practices as a Tai Chi Easy™ Practice Leader, credentialed by the Healer Within Foundation and is currently persuing her Functional Medicine Health Coach (FMHC) certificate from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy.

Since Dr. Ward-Cook’s retirement in 2019, as  a former tenured faculty member and a program director for Medical Technology (MT) program at The Ohio State University, followed by the Executive Director for  the American Society for Clinical Pathology’s (ASCP) Board of Registry and Senior Vice President for the ASCP, a 32K-dollar 501c3, and her 16-year service as the Chief Executive Officer for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®) a 4.6K-dollar 501c6. During her professional career Dr. Ward-Cook published over 150 journal articles, was lead editor for four textbooks, and delivered over 200 presentations to state, national and international audiences. â€‹

Dr. Ward-Cook is Founder & Principal Coach for Dovetail Coaching, in Irvine, CA. Dr. Ward-Cook’s passion is to coach individuals and groups to reach their highest potential for service, health, and happiness, by applying and embracing daily integrative mind-body-spirit approach to whole person health and resilience. She serves as the client’s guru, guide, and coach to amplify their strengths, and to minimize their perceived or real obstacles to overcome life challenges through the daily practices of movement (qigong, yoga, dance, meditative walking, etc.); nutrition (whole foods and supplements); and other selfcare practices (nutrition “off the plate”). These other practices include positive thinking, journaling, mind-body practices and supporting the client in getting in touch with their true-life purpose and to attract what their heart desires. As a coach and educator, Dr. Ward-Cook helps the client focus on techniques and tools that support their needs and keeps the clients motivated and engaged, while co-creating an ongoing daily lifestyle plan.
